Labour Party Minister Joan Burton is planning to host what can only be called serfdom seminars to promote free labour schemes like JobBridge and encourage companies to take advantage of state hand-outs to help drive down wages.
Last month the Revenue Commission emailed companies across the country to advertise meetings with the Minister where she will advise them on the best ways to exploit the unemployed through JobBridge and how they can use schemes like JobsPlus to drive down wages and displace workers who they currently have to pay a full wage to. As if employers weren’t already open to the idea of getting free interns or driving down wages, the Minister is having these meetings to put it on a plate for them.
Head on over to Paul Murphy's (MEP) page to read the rest.

Software Tester
First I have to mention the Skills Requirement "Passionate about software testing", that is the most stupid statement I have ever heard, having done software testing; its a job, its tedious, monotonous, and mundane. You can do a job very well without having to be passionate about it. A programmer yes, that statement with fit, a tester, no.
But on a serious note, this was listed by Saon Group....looking at their website
"Saongroup is a world leader in online recruitment. Our business began in Ireland in 1995 with one site Irishjobs.ie, and now we run websites across 16 countries in Europe, Africa and the Americas. Saongroup now has over 300 staff around the world."
So does JobBridge allow recruiters find "interns" for companies?

Advance PitStop have 28 positions across the country
Advance PitStop have 28 TWENTY EIGHT positions across the country.
How is this allowed, 28 of their places looking for an "intern".
Update: Over on Scambridge they pointed out the following:
Advance Pitstop were the 1st company we highlighted on this site - just to show how profit hungry they are - that was Sept 2012 they were looking for around 20 interns then, so those internships would have lasted Sept-June/July, then they would have had a 6 month 'cooling off' period when they couldn't hire on JobBridge, which brings them to December, or January this month, and they're straight back in for 28 more interns. Disgraceful! But looks like they're getting some abuse on facebook.
System well and truely being abused. Comments have been turned off on the Advance Pitstop facebook page.

Social Media for a garage
This opportunity in Cork City, a social media assistant in a car garage. "The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following media platforms of Pinterest, Facebook, Google +, Twitter, Linkedin marketing to include....."
It'd be great to get training on how to get a company out there in the social media world, lets see how Auto Motif are getting on and how much they could teach an intern.
I can't find them on Facebook.
Lets have a look at their Twitter page.
88 Tweets and 165 Followers. OK, maybe their twitter is new, lets look at when they started.
Almost FOUR years on twitter......
Does LinkedIn do any better?
And just to confirm their lack of social media presence, their website only has a twitter link.

Nope, can't find them here.

So it looks like you will spend 6 months sitting in the corner of the garage setting up social media pages and spamming people to join.

IT Support Assistant
Heres one that requires you to have a degree in Computer Science + participation in an IT training scheme.
If you have a degree in Computer Science one of their paid positions might be of more interest to you.
